The major thrust was exports and imports. TBL was primary focused on hydraulic applications which led to its first tie up with Parker Hannifin, the world leader in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Filtration products and Seals. The first order was received in March 2002 for export to Bangladesh.
Orders started coming in due to the result of extensive marketing by Taher M Faizullabhoy, the chief coordinator of the business which led to building up a huge customer base. TBL joined hands with Timken Bearings in 2003 and executed its largest order in 2004. With customers showing confidence in Jainex Industrial and with the encouragement of our principals and directors a company was launched in partnership between our local partner Mr Ameir Fakhri and the rest of the directors of Jainex Industrial in April 2004. This boosted the confidence of our customers all the more and they depended on us for more products.

From 2005, Jainex group and TBL parted ways and TBL Industrial and Engineering Exports Pvt. Ltd. was formed with its registered office and HQ in Kolkata.

Big project orders were booked for steel plant projects and refineries. In 2007, the foray was made into EOT cranes with Demag and big business resulted after extensive and persuasive marketing from 2007 to 2012 when the big order for steel plants came Demag's way along with an entry into the power sector. With Demag and TBL's joint efforts, several customers were developed in eastern India to service the spares hoists and accessories markets.

By way of these exhibitions, it aims to promote the product portfolio and the concept of a "basket" of top-of-the-line critical engineering products under one roof.
Towards the end of 2014, TBL launched a new concept focusing on service, namely the Hydraulic Services and Solutions Center with two hydraulic experts with a combined experience of over 60 years in the field. TBL has also launched crane services on similar lines. The focus of TBL is to provide solutions to customers.
With the advent of their director Adnan Taher Faizullabhoy in 2013, after a 3-year stint in Biotechnology at St Xavier's College Mumbai, a one-year Master's at Sheffield University in the UK, and two years of research at Cambridge University, the business has received a huge boost. There is a burst of energy with modern thinking and the use of the latest computer-aided technical tools.
TBL has added global sourcing to give customers any product from anywhere and, in this endeavor, has established associates in the US, UK, Europe, Singapore, China, and Taiwan.
TBL has also started business in the Middle East and looks to establish itself in Africa with the help of its energetic, hardworking, and efficient staff.
